Low-cost carrier IndiGo has added a new international destination to its route network with the commencement of direct flights from Delhi to Almaty in Kazakhstan.

Continuing with the rapid expansion of international route network, India’s largest airline, low-cost carrier IndiGo has announced the commencement of operations to Almaty in Kazakhstan.

According to a press statement, the Central Asian city is IndiGo’s 32nd international and 111th overall destination. The thrice weekly flights began on Saturday and with the launch of this new route, IndiGo aims to bring India closer to Kazakhstan, significantly improving accessibility and serving as a vital gateway for business travelers seeking access to Central Asia’s prominent financial hub.

IndiGo says that the flights are designed to cater to business and leisure travellers seeking new and affordable flying options to access destinations that facilitate business development and offer tourist attractions.

It adds that the flight 6E1801 will depart from Delhi every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday at 20:50, arriving in Almaty at 01:05 the next day. On the return leg, the flight 6E1802 will leave from Almaty at 02:05 every Wednesday, Friday and Sunday, reaching Delhi at 05:10 the same day.
