India has become the third largest source travel market for Kazakhstan, despite a significant drop in arrivals in 2020. According to a press statement by the Kazakh Tourism National Company, inbound tourism from India is recovering and has shown an increase of three times compared to 2021. Kazakhstan has become a popular and trending destination for Indian tourists, with many visiting cities like Almaty and Astana.
Galimzhan Seilov, senior manager of the Kazakh Tourism National Company, says that arrivals from India are growing, and the company is promoting the country with initiatives such as visa-free travel for 14 days and two daily flights from Delhi. The company also hosted the Travel Agents Association of India in Almaty, Seilov adds.
This year, Kazakhstan Tourism Board will be participating in the SATTE travel exhibition and launching a new campaign in the Indian travel market. The statement adds that it would like to invite all travel industry representatives of India are invited to visit the Kazakhstan stand at the SCO Travel Mart Pavillion. Kazakhstan will be represented by its biggest tour operators, including Tour operator Kompas, Sun and Fun, Skyway, Leela Travel, and the national airline company Air Astana, says the statement by Kazakh Tourism National Company.
