India’s largest airline, the low-cost IndiGo has announced codeshare connections to San Francisco via Istanbul, effective September 25.
In a press statement, IndiGo says that this expansion of its codeshare network in partnership with Turkish Airlines now links to five destinations across the United States of America. It adds that the new connection will enhance the accessibility to San Francisco for Indian travellers, providing customers with a wide range of destinations to explore in the United States, in line with IndiGo’s vision of strengthening international connectivity.
The airline says that with the launch of the San Francisco route, IndiGo’s codeshare partnership with Turkish Airlines will expand to connect travellers to a total of 39 destinations.

The airline adds that San Francisco is a captivating city renowned for its iconic attractions such as the Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz Island, and historic cable cars. The city boasts a diverse cultural landscape, including vibrant Chinatown and bustling Fisherman’s Wharf neighborhoods. It says that San Francisco is a must-visit destination with breathtaking vistas, a thriving creative scene, and a tech-driven economy that seamlessly combines natural beauty with urban allure.
The city is often referred to as the Silicon Valley for IT professionals, given its proximity to the epicenter of the tech industry.
