According to a report by the Ha Noi Department of Tourism, the number of international and domestic visitors in the month of July has increased gradually compared to the same period last year. The total number of visitors to Ha Noi, the capital city of Vietnam was estimated to reach 1.94 million arrivals, on which domestic visitors accounted for 1.8 million arrivals, while about 141,000 international visitors arrived in the capital. Total tourist receipts in July stood at VND 6.15 trillion.
With a sharp increase in the number of tourists since the full opening of tourism, visitors to Ha Noi were estimated to reach 10.62 million arrivals in the first seven months of the year, up 3.6 times over the same period last year. Ha Noi received a total of 425,900 international visitors, while domestic visitors reached 10.2 million arrivals, 3.5 times higher than the same period last year. Total tourist receipts stood at VND 31.9 trillion, up 3.9 times over the same period in 2021.

In terms of accommodation, in the seven months of 2022, the average occupancy of 1 to 5 star hotels was estimated at 41.7 pc, up 17.8 pc over the same period in 2021. Overall, the average occupancy rate of the hotel sector was estimated at 31.7 pc, up 7.8 pc over the same period in 2021.
In terms of health and hygiene safety standards, 26 food service establishments, 34 shopping service businesses, 8 entertainment businesses, and one sports service business have been recognised as meeting standards for visitors, in the Ha Noi area, recently. These systems have attracted and served a large number of tourists and residents.
In addition to this, a recent survey conducted by travel accommodation booking company Booking.com declared that Ha Noi was one of the six best destinations for bicycle tours in the world. The company says that the Vietnamese capital offers a network of excellent cycling lanes that enable visitors to explore the area with locals on bicycles and scooters, a perfect reason for tourists seeking to go on cycling vacations to visit the city.
