A total of 60 Riu hotels located in 18 countries received a Traveller Review Award 2023
Spanish hotel chain Riu Hotels & Resorts hotels was honoured with 60 awards by Booking.com, one of the largest online booking platforms. According to a press statement by Riu, a total of 60 Riu hotels located in 18 countries received a Traveller Review Award 2023. Such accolades are presented to hotels that received ratings between 8-10 from clients who made online reservations and stayed at these accommodations.
The statement adds that this score can only be calculated for establishments that have at least five reviews on Booking.com. In addition to providing an overall score for their stay, guests can review the hotel’s location, cleanliness, comfort, value for money, facilities and staff.
The statement adds that Riu Atoll, Maafushi Island and Riu Palace Maldivas, Kedhignadu Island in Maldives are among the properties that received the award. Whereas, Riu Plaza España, Madrid, Riu Concordia and Riu Festival in Palma de Mallorca, and Riu Monica in Malaga, Andalusia are just some of the twenty-five hotels awarded the same in Spain. In the USA, Riu Plaza New York Times Square and Riu Plaza Manhattan Times Square in New York were the awardees, apart from Riu Plaza Fisherman’s Wharf, San Francisco and Riu Plaza Miami Beach in Miami.
The statement goes on to say that Riu Hotels and Resorts in Mexico also fared well with Riu Plaza Guadalajara, Riu Palace Costa Mujeres and Riu Latino in Costa Mujeres emerging out as some of the awardees, with five other hotels there. Apart from these, Riu Hotels and Resorts in Tanzania, Sri Lanka, Jamaica, Panama, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Aruba and Portugal were also part of the 60 awardees. The remaining awards went to Riu Hotels and Resorts in Morocco, the USA, the Bahamas, the United Arab Emirates, Germany, Ireland, and Senegal.
