Air Seychelles, the national carrier of the Indian Ocean archipelago Seychelles, has signed an agreement to collaborate intensively with the tourism promotion organisation of the country, Tourism Seychelles.

In a press statement, the flag carrier says that the two bodies have solidified their commitment to promoting Seychelles as a premier tourist destination through a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signed recently.

The MOU was signed by Principal Secretary for Tourism Sherin Francis and CEO of Air Seychelles Captain Sandy Benoiton. The statement adds that the partnership aims to enhance visibility and attract more visitors to the archipelago by leveraging joint activities in targetted markets.

Under the agreement, both parties will collaborate closely on various marketing initiatives. They will utilise a range of communication channels, including social media platforms, to showcase the unique offerings of Seychelles to potential travellers worldwide.

The two bodies will also participate jointly in key international events, specifically targetting markets crucial to the destination’s growth. These events include the World Travel Market Africa (WTM Africa), the Outbound Travel Mart (OTM) in India, and the Salon du Prêt à Partir in Mauritius.

The statement adds that in return, Tourism Seychelles has committed to supporting Air Seychelles by actively participating in the airline’s milestone events throughout the year. This will further strengthen the bond between the two entities and reinforce their shared goal of driving tourism growth in Seychelles.

“This partnership marks an important step forward in our efforts to showcase the unparalleled beauty and offerings of Seychelles to the world. By joining forces with Air Seychelles, we are confident that we can reach new heights in destination marketing and attract even more visitors to our shores,” says Francis of Seychelles Tourism.

“We are proud to join hands with Tourism Seychelles in this endeavour to promote our beloved archipelago to travellers worldwide. Together, we aim to showcase Seychelles as a destination of choice, offering unparalleled experiences and warm hospitality,” says Captain Benoiton of the airline.

The airline goes on to say that signing of this MOU marks the continuation of the strategic partnership between Tourism Seychelles and Air Seychelles. This partnership will continue to elevate the destination’s profile on the global stage.
