Malaysia is emerging as the new trending destination for Indian weddings. With a constant rise in Indian tourists visiting Malaysia, the island nation is all geared up to tap the Indian wedding tourism sector. Tourism Malaysia and Wedding Affair, a leading magazine in the sector organised a Wedding Conclave in New Delhi to woo Indians for selecting Malaysia as the preferred place to get hitched. The conclave was attended by leading wedding planners who got a chance to interact with representatives of various Malaysian hotels, resorts, and airlines. “India will always be one of the most significant tourism markets for India and we’ll deliver whatever you desire. We are working hard to ensure you choose Malaysia as your best wedding destination, ” assured H.E. Dató Hidayat Abdul Hamid, High Commissioner of Malaysia to India at the occasion. Malaysia offers air connectivity in major Indian cities. “From luxury hotels and similar cuisines to the favourable exchange rate, Malaysia has plenty to offer the Indian wedding industry. Moreover, Malaysia is just five hours away from India. We offer everything that the Indian wedding industry demands, ” added Sulaiman Bin Suip, the director of Tourism Malaysia, New Delhi. The event also observed cultural performances by the Sarawak Tourism, arts and culture ministry, Malaysia.
