Hong Kong-based luxury hotel chain Shangri-La says its latest property, Shangri-La Phnom Penh will open before the end of this year, marking the Cambodia debut for the group.
According to a press statement by Shangri-La, the upcoming hotel is located in a 55-storey premium mixed development tower and will have 303 guest rooms, suites and apartments ranging in size from 45-135 sqm.
The statement adds that its interiors will be inspired by French art deco and Khmer arts, abundant in natural stone and warm wooden accents.
The Shangri-La Phnom Penh will also have five restaurants, including the group’s signature Shang Palace, where Malaysian cuisine with Cantonese origins will be served by chef Freeze Ng Kok Leon.
Other dining options include the Kommune, that features international dishes with local flavours, the Mekong Lounge and The Atelier, with its freshly brewed coffee, pastries and light snacks.
On the hotel’s 51st floor, guests will find a health club and spa offering a “wide array of nurturing treatments” and state-of-the-art TechnoGym equipment.
A large ballroom spanning 1,150 sqm, as well as five flexible connected meeting rooms and a boardroom, are devices for functions and events. Nearby attractions include The PeAk Luxury Mall, the Royal Palace and the island of Koh Pich.
