The national tourism organisation of Nepal, the Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) recently organised a series of roadshows in India with the aim of strengthening the cordial relations between the two neighbouring nations. According to a press statement by the board, the roadshows were held in six major cities of South and West India, beginning June 7.

The board says that in collaboration with travel representative firm Buzz Travel Marketing, the South India Sales Mission organised roadshows in Kochi, Coimbatore, and Madurai, all of which were attended by NTB officials and accompanied by Destination Management Companies (DMCs) from Nepal.

Professionals from the travel industry, including tour operators, travel agents, and media representatives, had an opportunity to learn more about Nepal’s extensive tourism options through the shows.

“The roadshows provide an excellent platform for travel industry professionals in India to discover the incredible experiences Nepal has to offer. We believe strengthening our ties with the Indian market will lead to growth of tourism between India and Nepal,” says Srijana Nepali, Officer, South Asia Unit, Tourism Marketing and Promotion Department.

Following the South India Sales Mission’s success, the West India Sales Mission began on June 14 in Ahmedabad, moved on to Vadodara on June 16, and ended on June 19 in Surat, says the board, adding that the NTB representatives were present during each event. Also attending the events were representatives from 15 private Nepalese companies.

The roadshows held in the West Zone promoted Nepal’s cultural, ecological, and adventure riches while encouraging successful partnerships between Indian and Nepalese travel industry professionals.

“We were excited to bring the NTB Roadshows to India and showcased the unparalleled beauty and hospitality of Nepal,” says Laxman Gautam, Marketing Head, Tourism Marketing and Promotion Department, NTB.

NTB says that through its roadshows in India, participants have a chance to convene, establish vital connections, and acquire firsthand knowledge of the various tourism experiences Nepal has to offer. Interactive presentations, networking opportunities, and debates on the most recent trends and advancements in the Nepalese tourism business offered attendees to experience Nepal’s stunning scenery, historic sites, exciting festivals, outdoor experiences, and welcoming residents, everything that makes it a popular travel destination for Indian tourists.

It adds that with Nepal’s distinct Himalayan peaks, verdant valleys, historic temples, and rich cultural legacy, every traveller is sure to find a unique immersive experience for themselves. From trekking in the gorgeous mountains to exploring UNESCO World Heritage Sites, savouring local food, and encountering the warmth of Nepalese hospitality, Nepal remains to be explored.
