IndiGo says that the flight from Delhi to Male will leave every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday

Low-cost carrier IndiGo Airlines says that it will resume flights from Delhi to Maldivian capital from November 1 to boost connectivity to the Indian Ocean archipelago.

India’s largest carrier, low-cost airline IndiGo has announced the reinstatement of direct flights between Delhi and Male to enhance connectivity.

IndiGo says that the flight from Delhi to Male will leave every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday at 08:50, arriving in Male by 12:25 and on the return leg, the flight will depart on same day at 13:25, reaching Delhi by 18:05.

In a press statement, the airline says that these direct flights, scheduled to recommence on November 1, will operate four times a week and will significantly boost tourism in both India and the Maldives.  It adds that the reintroduction of these non-stop flights will further elevate travel convenience for passengers, reflecting a strong resurgence in international travel from India and catering to the rising customer demand.

The airline says that these flights are being reinstated to cater to business and leisure travellers seeking new and affordable flying options to access destinations that facilitate business development and offer tourist attractions.

Recently, IndiGo had also unveiled the return of direct flights connecting Hyderabad and the Maldives. Renowned for its appeal among Indian tourists, Maldives has been ranked among the most preferred holiday destinations.
