Travel tech platform TravClan has announced that it will be organising a pan-India series of networking events in Tier II and Tier III towns for travel agents.

According to a press statement by TravClan, the recent events in Kanpur and Jalandhar mark its latest stint in this nationwide endeavour. The aim is to provide travel agents in smaller towns across India with a strong digital infrastructure, promoting growth by keeping them updated on the latest trends in the travel industry.

TravClan says that the two events attracted numerous enthusiastic travel agents. It facilitated one-on-one interactions with TravClan’s team, who shared insights into how travel agents can leverage the technology and solutions offered by the company to expand their businesses. TravClan introduced innovative travel products, services and information on upcoming destinations that will disrupt the Indian travel market in the upcoming season.

The firm adds that the events saw participation from over 2000 travel partners, all aiming to strengthen bonds with other stakeholders in the industry. “We are witnessing an unprecedented surge in travel demand from all over India, with Tier II/Tier III cities at the forefront of this boom. The Government of India has accelerated the development of superior road and rail connectivity to major destinations, fueling the growth of domestic tourism from smaller cities. New airports are being launched to connect previously unconnected areas, and international flights are increasing. Overall, per capita income and thus discretionary expenses are increasing. These developments will make travellers from Tier II and Tier III towns dominate the outbound travel market in the future,” says Chirag Agrawal, TravClan.

“It was an amazing opportunity to meet with individuals who share a similar vision for the industry. The insights shared were in-depth and helpful. The practical tech solutions and customised offerings for travel agents were the real differentiators for me. The company’s introduction of dedicated account managers highlights their concern for their partners’ journey and success,” says Swati Shukla from Karwaan Tours.

TravClan adds in its statement that it emphasises the vital role played by travel agents in this growth. Travel Agents remain the preferred choice for travellers in planning and booking their journeys and events like these provide excellent opportunities for travel agents to enhance their knowledge, skills, and digital technology adoption.
