The Travel Agents Federation of India’s (TAFI) Western India Chapter joined forces with the Consul General of Mexico to host an evening dedicated to destination Mexico.
In a press statement, the TAFI organisers say that the event was aimed at travel agents, tour operators and tourism representatives to foster connections and collaboration within the travel sector with a focus on promoting travel to Mexico.
Attending the event was Consul General of Mexico Adolfo García Estrada, who emphasised the long-standing cultural and economic ties between India and Mexico. Estrada was keen on exploring potential for even greater collaboration in the tourism sector.
The member attendees were presented an experience of the rich tapestry of Mexican culture, from its ancient traditions to its vibrant contemporary scene focusing on the plethora of attractions that Mexico has to offer Indian travellers. There were also industry insights and a presentation on the destination by TripToMexico, a Mexico DMC represented in India by Global Destinations.
The statement adds that the networking sessions provided attendees with a fantastic opportunity to connect with key industry leaders, exchange ideas, and explore potential collaborations and business ventures.
The statement adds that the Mexican-themed knowledge-sharing and networking event exemplifies TAFI’s ongoing commitment to member value. “The initiative proved a resounding success, solidifying TAFI WI’s dedication to equipping travel professionals with valuable destination knowledge,” says the press statement.
