Under the theme of ‘Beauty Has An Address’, Oman, which is ‘ITB Host Country’ has planned a line-up of events at the leading travel trade show in Berlin from March 5 to 7.

When leading travel show ITB Berlin 2024 gets underway in the German capital on March 5, Oman, which is the ‘Host Country’ for has unveiled a series of activities to be undertaken in Berlin under its central promotional theme, ‘Beauty Has An Address’. 

According to a press statement by ITB, the opening press conference and opening ceremony on  March 4 will mark the start of these activities.

According to a press statement by ITB organisers, the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism of Oman will be presenting the country’s touristic and cultural diversity under this slogan at ITB Berlin from March 5 to 7.

The statement adds that present at the event will be Salim bin Mohammed Al Mahrouqi, Minister of Heritage and Tourism of the Sultanate of Oman, heading the delegation from Oman to ITB Berlin. Azzan bin Qassim Al Busaidi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism, will hold an official opening press conference on the evening of March 4 under the theme ‘Beauty Has An Address’.

The statement adds that under its ‘Vision 2024’, Oman will present new horizons, sustainable tourism development as well as the country’s global positioning.

The organisers say that on the first day of the show, a panel discussion on How do we achieve NetZero in tourism? will take place featuring Oman’s Minister of Heritage and Tourism. In the afternoon, the panel discussion ‘Omani Adventure Tourism – Experience the Journey of Discovery and Self-Actualisation’ will take place with the participation of Destination Management Companies (DMCs) from Oman.

The statement adds that this year Oman will be the partner of the official ITB MICE Night on the evening of March 5 at NIO House Berlin. The host country will also be the focus of the ITB Blogger Base, which invites bloggers to an exclusive get-together on ITB Wednesday, March 6. During the event, bloggers will have the opportunity to experience Omani hospitality over traditional coffee and dates, learn about the Sultanate in a presentation and network with Omani partners.

The statement adds that on Wednesday evening March 6, the Royal Oman Symphony Orchestra will host a concert at the Philharmonie Berlin under the direction of Hamdan Al Shuaili, the musical ambassador of the Sultanate.
