The Ministry of Heritage and Tourism, Sultanate of Oman, recently played host to a travel trade familiarisation trip, welcoming 14 trade partners from across India.
According to a press statement by the Ministry, this six-night tour showcased the diverse and breathtaking landscapes of Oman, featuring prominent destinations such as Jebel Akhdar, Wahiba Sands, Salalah, and Muscat.
The statement adds that the FAM trip was an immersive experience, encompassing the natural wonders as well as the cultural richness that Oman has to offer. The organisers say that the Indian trade partners explored the majestic landscapes, vibrant cultures, and historical treasures that make the Sultanate a jewel of the Arabian Peninsula.
One of the highlights of the trip was a dynamic Business-to-Business (B2B) meeting on the final day of the trip, which provided a platform for meaningful interactions and partnerships. A total of 35 partners from Oman participated in this event. Indian participants were given the opportunity to represent their companies and establish valuable links with local businesses, including Destination Management Companies (DMCs), hotels, and suppliers.
The statement adds that this exchange of information and ideas fostered new collaborations and opportunities, strengthening the relations between the two countries and that the success of the FAM trip reflects the commitment of the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism to the promote Sultanate of Oman as a premier travel destination for Indian clients.
