Minor Hotels to unveil 121-key luxury Bandar Al Khairan in Muscat

The new-build 121-key property is slated to launch in 2026

Focussing on a strong presence across Asia, the Middle East and Africa, Minor Hotels has announced the launch of its latest boutique hotel, the 121-key Bandar Al Khairan, in Muscat, Oman.

Bangkok-based boutique hotel chain Minor Hotels steps up global expansion with its latest luxury Bandar Al Khairan, in Muscat. Located on the rugged Omani coast about 45 minutes from the capital, the new-build 121-key property is slated to launch in 2026.

According to a press statement by Minor Hotels, the resort Bandar Al Khairan will be operated by Anantara and feature 51 guest rooms, 46 chalets and 24 villas and is set in the mountain shoreline overlooking the Gulf of Oman.

Minor says that Khairan’s seafront location is ideal for both leisure guests and events and business occasions.

The hotel features private pools, gourmet dining across five restaurants and bars, infinity swimming pool, kids’ splash pool, a kids and teens club lounge, meeting and events spaces and a helipad highlighting contemporary luxury within the natural landscape. It will also include Anantara Spa and a fitness centre alongside a private stargazing majlis, the statement adds.

The luxury hotel giant says that its new openings in 2024, 2025 and 2026 will expand the already strong presence of Minor Hotels across Asia, the Middle East and Africa. 

The upcoming Anantara resort in Bandar Al Khairan will join the growing portfolio of luxurious Anantara properties in the Middle East region, which includes the two already established resorts in Oman, namely Al Baleed Resort Salalah by Anantara and Anantara Al Jabal Al Akhdar Resort, in addition to 10 properties in the UAE and one in Qatar.
