Consolidating its global portfolio’s growth trajectory, Thailand’s homegrown luxury hospitality chain Minor Hotels is set to introduce NH Hotels and Resorts brand to its hometown in Bangkok.

According to a press statement by the hotel, NH Bangkok Sukhumvit Boulevard will be the first NH in Bangkok and second in Thailand, as Minor Hotels maps the brand’s expansion outside of Europe and the Americas.

Minor says it has also signed a management agreement with Boulevard Hotel Company, a company specialising in upscale and midscale hotels, for a property in central Bangkok, Thailand.

It adds that the property is located in the vibrant heart of Bangkok’s bustling commercial and shopping district, off Sukhumvit Road, offers  309-keys and is 200 metres from the BTS SkyTrain public transportation system.

This enables guests to easily explore Bangkok’s attractions, world-class shopping centres and restaurants, and is within walking distance of the renowned Bumrungrad International Hospital.

The statement adds that the hotel is just a 30-minute drive from Bangkok’s main airport, Suvarnabhumi International Airport (BKK).

Currently operating as the Boulevard Hotel Bangkok, the property recently completed extensive renovations of its guest rooms, lobby, restaurant and pool areas and has newly designed rooms, including a mix of lead-in and deluxe rooms and suites across two wings.

Minor Hotels expects to rebrand the property as NH Bangkok Sukhumvit Boulevard in Q4 of this year after adding NH’s brand touches over the coming months.

In the interim, the hotel will operate as the Boulevard Hotel Bangkok under Minor Hotels’ management.

The statement adds that the hotel is meant to provide for both leisure and business clients, with amenities including an all-day dining restaurant, a lobby bar, meeting facilities, a fitness centre and a large outdoor swimming pool.

“We are delighted to partner with Boulevard Hotel Company to debut our upscale NH brand in Bangkok. NH will be the third brand we will introduce to Bangkok, joining Anantara and Avani, providing visitors to the world’s most visited city with another way to stay with Minor Hotels,” says Dillip Rajakarier, CEO of Minor Hotels and Group CEO of Minor International.
