Aitken Spence Hotels, a leading hospitality group in Sri Lanka, has bagged a succession of awards at various platforms in the last month. In a press statement, the hotel group says that its properties in Sri Lanka, India and Oman and the Maldives have been recognised for their distinctive experiences and dedication to quality, taking forward its sustainable tourism practices.
The hotel says that at the South Asian Travel Awards (SATA) 2023, Heritance Kandalama bagged the ‘Leading Eco-Friendly Resort’ in Asia, while Heritance Tea Factory was awarded the ‘Leading Designer Hotel/Resort’ for its unique tea destination concept.
Heritance Ayurveda was acclaimed as ‘Leading Wellness and Spa Resort’ for its authentic and holistic wellness offering and Heritance Negombo won in the ‘Leading Luxury Hotel/Resort’ category.
In the Maldives, Adaaran Select Meedhupparu was awarded as the ‘Leading Dive Resort’ while Aitken Spence Hotels Maldives topped the ‘Leading Resort/Hotel Brand’ in the Maldivian hospitality sector. Similarly, Turyaa Chennai in India was recognised as the ‘Leading Meeting and Conference Hotel/Resort’.
The statement adds that in addition to these SATA recognitions, Heritance Aarah was honoured with the She Travel Club Gold, a label that recognises women empowerment within the hospitality sector.

Adding to the quarter’s success, Aitken Spence’s Omani resort, Desert Nights Resort received the Luxury Lifestyle Awards for the second consecutive year, spotlighting their unique offering of authentic desert experiences.
