Sri Lanka Convention Bureau (SLCB) is set to host the maiden Southern MICE Expo 2024, that is scheduled to take place from May 27 to May 31 in Galle, in southern Sri Lanka.

According to a press statement by SLCB, the Southern MICE Expo has been organised in order to position the Southern Region of the country as a leading destination for Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions Events (MICE). The Expo will offer a unique platform for international MICE agents and media professionals to discover the vast potential of the region for MICE tourism.

The statement adds that the event will be organised in collaboration with the Ministry of Tourism and Lands and it aims to elevate the region’s appeal for overseas visitors.

The organisers say that following the success of the Colombo MICE Expo and the positive response to the Northern MICE Expo, the Southern Region has also been identified as an ideal hub for business tourism.
