With a message that Sri Lanka is fully open and entirely safe for visitors, Sri Lanka Tourism is now aggressively reaching out to its key markets across the world. Thisum Jayasuriya, Chairman of Sri Lanka Convention Bureau was part of a high-powered and large delegation that visited India recently. Jayasuriya tells India Outbound that Sri Lanka is confident of receiving 1 million tourists this year and that his country’s special focus would be on the Indian market with several new initiatives lined up.
