Surat becomes the second city in Gujarat with direct connectivity to Dubai on the IndiGo network

IndiGo Airlines has announced the addition of a new route to its 6E network with direct flights to Dubai from Surat, thrice a week.

India’s largest airline IndiGo has introduced direct flights between Dubai and Surat that will operate tri-weekly with effect from February 23. 

In a press statement, IndiGo says that the addition of this strategic route to the 6E network is designed to facilitate seamless travel for tourists and business travellers and enhance bilateral economic growth and relations between India and the United Arab Emirates.

It adds that the flight 6E 1992 will depart from Dubai at 17:15 hours to arrive in Surat at 21:30 hours every Wednesday, Friday and Sunday from February 23. From February 24, 6E 1991 flight will depart from Surat at 0:35 hours to arrive in Dubai at 2:25 hours every Saturday. The same flight will also operate on the same route on Mondays, from February 26, and Thursdays, from February 29, departing at 01:10 hours and 03:00 hours to arrive at 0:10 and 02:00 respectively.

IndiGo says that with the addition of this flight, Surat becomes the second city in Gujarat with direct connectivity to Dubai on the IndiGo network. Starting from February 22, additional frequencies will also be introduced on the Hyderabad-Dubai route, adds the airline.
