Mauritius is not a new destination for Indians who have been going there for a family beach holiday or for the perfect honeymoon. The romantic island is also a prime destination for Bollywood shooting with its idyllic sea and pristine nature. Every year Mauritius Tourism Promotion Authority, MTPA, organises a roadshow in the Tier 1 and Tier 2 cities of the growing Indian market. Kevin Ramkaloan, Director of MTPA highlights the new activities – such as adventure, nature and festivals – that the island offers to tourists. Air Mauritius – the national carrier – on its side, reveals its expansion plans for more connections between India and Mauritius.
