Portugal promotes wine tourism at ProWine Mumbai 2022

Portugal is the second most popular destination for wine tourism in Europe, behind just Italy, drawing a large number of tourists from Europe, North America and Brazil. Now Portugal is keen to attract tourists from India as well to discover the large variety of wines produced in the country by holidaying in the key wine producing regions. It was with the twin objective of promoting wine tourism as well as exports of Portuguese wines to India that the Embassy of Portugal in India as well as Turismo de Portugal jointly organised a large presence of Portuguese wines at the recently-held ProWine 2022 in Mumbai.

The delegation of wine producers was led by Luis Mira, secretary general of Portuguese Farmers’ Confederation who says his delegation came to India to promote 12 of the best wines produced in Portugal.
