ITB ASIA 2016 kicked off on Tuesday at the Marina Bay Sands Convention Center in Singapore. Promotion of MICE Tourism and digital evolution in the travel industry are the new topics discussed this year. Global destinations are looking at attracting more Indian tourists, such as neighboring Bangladesh or far away Finland. But many tourism bodies still find the market complex because of its diversity and specificities. Two niche aspects of the Indian outbound market to look at is the wedding destination segment and the promotion of films locations as india has the largest cinema industry in the world.
