Barely a 30-minute drive from Dubai, the regional hub of tourism, the sister emirate of Sharjah benefits from spillover traffic, notably for large events like Expo2020 and also as many tourists to Dubai take extensions to explore Sharjah. But Sharjah is a unique destination within the UAE that offers a wide variety of experiences and opportunities making it an attractive destination in its own right, says Khalid Jasim Al Midfa, chairman of Sharjah Tourism, in an interview with India Outbound.
