Known to bring together artists from different countries, the Venice Biennale exhibitions bring together the best from around the world in arts, architecture, cinema, dance, music and theatre. Besides art enthusiasts, architects and historians, tourists as well as students become a part of the cultural walk presented through the biennale. The biennale began on xxx even as the world was still reeling under the Covid-19 pandemic. It was the first global and large-scale public event organised since the outbreak hit the world in early 2020.
Hashim Sarkis, curator of the Venice Biennale, tells India Outbound about his experience and challenges that his team faced while preparing for the event as well as the expectations from the event and the outcomes so far.
