Having recovered almost entirely, Tanzania Tourism Board has set itself an aggressive target of receiving 5 million international visitors by 2025, more than three times the 1.5 million visitors in 2019. Damasi Mfugale, Director General of Tanzania Tourism Board, says that besides the traditional markets of Europe, he is also looking at emerging markets like India to reach the target. Mfugale adds that he intends to ramp up his board’s engagement with the Indian market.
