To mark a significant milestone in the development landscape of Kalba city, Sharjah has announced the grand opening of the Hanging Gardens, a breath-taking marvel spanning 160,000 at an altitude of 281 metres above sea level.
In a press statement, Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority says that with over 100,000 trees adorning its expanse, the Hanging Gardens promise to be a sanctuary of unparalleled beauty and leisure.
The statement adds that at the heart of this botanical masterpiece lies the Central Restaurant, an architectural gem offering seating for up to 215 guests amidst panoramic views of lush greenery and cascading waterfalls. Complementing this culinary oasis are recreational areas tailored for all ages, including dedicated sections for children, mountain climbing routes, and a skaters’ arena covering 2,400 sqm.
The SCTDA adds that the Hanging Gardens further invite exploration through an excursion train track spanning 820 m, with stations strategically positioned to provide access to various attractions of the garden. For fitness enthusiasts, a 760-m running track encircles the park’s landmarks, offering a scenic backdrop for outdoor exercise.
The tourism promotion organisation says that elevating the visitor experience, the Upper Area Restaurant perched 270 m above sea level treats guests to unparalleled vistas of the surrounding landscape, creating an unforgettable dining experience.
In addition to its recreational offerings, the Hanging Gardens prioritize convenience and accessibility by offering 262 parking spaces, facilities for disabled parking, electric vehicle charging stations, restrooms, and prayer rooms. A cafeteria serving light meals ensures visitors are well-nourished during their exploration of this verdant paradise.
