All preparations are almost complete for the upcoming International Luxury Travel Market Africa which is set to open in Cape Town on March 31 with a focus on LGBTQ+ travel as well as luxury travel trends.

International Luxury Travel Market Africa will host leading luxury travel buyers, including Virtuoso and Select, in Cape Town, South Africa from March 31-April 2. According to a press statement, 88 pc of the hosted buyers are new buyers with representation from Brazil, Canada, Finland, Israel, Nigeria, Singapore, Spain, the United Arab Emirates and other countries. The upcoming ILTM Africa, to be held in the Kirstenbosch National Botanical Gardens, will once again present high-value chances for one-on-one meetings with top buyers from around the globe, adds the statement.

The organisers say that one of the seven most magnificent botanical parks in the world, Kirstenbosch is located on the eastern slopes of Table Mountain and is ideal for business gatherings for the tourism sector.

According to ILTM organisers, the event will focus on speakers discussing LGBTQ+ travel and luxury travel trends. About 20 pc of the confirmed buyers have expressed interest in the LGBTQ+ travel category, while buyers from seven nations, including Singapore and Germany, have expressed interest in golf tourism, says the statement.

It is an invitation-only event and provides opportunities for leaders in the industry to network, expand their knowledge, gain insight and discover new business, adds the statement.
