IATO says that the association has fully waived off admission fee for the new members
A leading tourism industry association Indian Association of Tour Operators (IATO) has launched a special membership drive with special offers valid till July 31.
In a press statement, IATO says that the association has fully waived off admission fee for the new membership for all the applicants across India, whose membership application is received at the IATO office on or before July 31.
It goes on to say that the association has fully waived the joining fee from the applicants who are based in the Indian states and territories of Andaman Nicobar Islands, Andhra Pradesh, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Chandigarh, Dadra & Nagar Haveli, Daman & Diu, Jammu & Kashmir, Jharkhand, Ladakh, Lakshadweep, North East States, Odisha, Puducherry, Sikkim and Uttarakhand, from August 1.
Starting the same date, a 50 pc waiver on admission fee has been decided on for the new applicants based in any other state, says the statement. IATO says that there is no waiver or discount on the annual subscription and it is to be paid fully.
The statement adds that as tourism industry was still waiting for inbound tourism to fully revive, the IATO EC has taken a decision to give further relief to the members by giving 50 pc discount on the annual subscription for the financial year 2023-24.
