Hong Kong Tourism Board to host Travel Mission in India

Hong Kong Tourism Board says that the trade mission will focus on growing leisure, fly-cruise and Meetings and Incentives segment

Keeping pace with the return of the momentum of pre-pandemic business, Hong Kong Tourism Board will be hosting its annual Travel Mission to event in India with a 28-member delegation to Bengaluru, Mumbai and Delhi from August 22-25.

As the growth in tourism traffic from India to Hong Kong returns to the pre-pandemic rates, to further tap into the India market, the Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB) is set to bring back its annual Travel Mission to India after a three-year hiatus.

In a press statement, the board says that the marquee event will include a delegation of 28 trade members comprising Hong Kong land operators, hoteliers, airlines and cruise company. It will also include popular family attractions like Ocean Park Hong Kong, Hong Kong Disneyland, Madame Tussauds Hong Kong, Ngong Ping, Legoland Discovery centre Hong Kong, among others.

According to the statement, the delegation will hold business sessions with Indian trade partners on August 22 in Bengaluru, Mumbai on August 23 and New Delhi on August 25.

The board says that the trade mission will focus on growing leisure, fly-cruise and Meetings and Incentives (M&I) segment. It will also highlight the diverse experiences in Hong Kong for Indian travellers, leveraging the 14-day visa-free travel facility for Indian passport holders and also the flight capacity expansion from Indian cities.
