“Germany is a destination that combines history, culture and adventure to offer Indian travellers a truly unforgettable experience. From exploring the stunning castles of Bavaria to tasting delicious German cuisine and experiencing the buzzing nightlife in Berlin, Germany has something to offer every type of traveller. We look forward to welcoming more Indian travellers to our beautiful country in the coming years,” says Romit Theophilus, Director, German National Tourist Office in India.

GNTO says that Indian tourists who prolong their stay in Germany can maximise their experience to enjoy a huge range of activities, such as camping, hiking, and mountain biking. India vacationers can indulge in appreciating nature’s splendour while taking a sustainable vacation and will not be left short even if they go for an extended stay, adds the statement.

A broad variety of parks, botanical gardens, and open spaces can be discovered across Halle, Kassel, Essen, and Osnabrück, making them ideal for those looking for areas with lots of greenery, says GNTO, adding that each of the four cities has a tonne of recreational opportunities within its ‘urban jungle’. In addition, a trip to the elevated Reilsberg mountain zoo in Halle, which is located north of the Old Town, is a must-do for a glimpse of the lush surroundings. In the same way, the expansive views from Kassel’s Hercules monument and the sizable water features of the Wilhelmshöhe Palace complex, which is also Europe’s largest mountain park and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The culinary landscape has become even more colourful, sustainable, and delicious, and now includes attractive creations for people who want to do without animal products altogether.
