The Family Vacation Guide, an information resource guide, has identified the world’s best and worst value family city break destinations by examining some of the most popular travel destinations worldwide and analysing the costs associated with lodging, attraction ticket prices, family meals at McDonald’s and other expenses to reveal the world’s best value family city break destinations.
The research showed Istanbul, Turkey as the least expensive city for a family to visit, where daily expenses are on average USD 122.66. That is less expensive than a monthly bus pass in London. Hong Kong, China is the second location where it costs only USD 127.57 to a person to enjoy the amazing sights of top rated attractions like Tian Tan Buddha.

The list included Budapest in Hungary, a country well-known for its magnificent seasonal markets, which are stocked with food, drink, souvenirs, trinkets and much more. It is a terrific destination for a family city vacation, with abundant of top-rated options for family-friendly activities there. Halászbástya (Fisherman’s Bastion), is at the top of the list and is free for children under five.
The tenth best value city break location for families is Stockholm, which is located in Sweden. Its top attraction, Stockholm Old Town, is free to see and the average price of a hotel room for a family over the weekend is only USD 102.26, while the average daily price is USD 139.38.
The survey also highlighted the most costly city break for families. It was Amsterdam which is known for its artistic heritage, elaborate canal system and narrow houses with gabled facades. A single day trip here for the family would cost around USD 243.93 per day.

Barcelona, Spain, is another pricey destination with daily prices of about USD 234.32. In Barcelona, there is a structure called Casa Batllo that was created by Antoni Gaud. It is regarded as the most well-liked attraction.
