With summer vacations approaching and a number of schools and colleges planning their year-end off-site or school trips, Bahrain has pitched itself as an ideal destination for students and schools.

In a press statement, the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA) says that Bahrain is a beautiful island country located in the Arabian Gulf that has a lot to offer when it comes to offsite trips for students. This hidden gem offers a unique blend and combination of ancient and modern architecture, rich culture, stunning natural landscapes, and entertainment that make it an excellent choice for educational excursions. It is a destination that combines learning, adventure, and culture, says BTEA.

Bahrain is a safe and friendly country that welcomes visitors and students with open arms. In addition to this, the warm and friendly hospitality of the locals makes this island country an ideal choice for student off-site trips, adds the tourism promotion body.

BTEA adds that the cultural diversity of Bahrain is what makes it stand out as a destination for student excursions. Students can explore the country’s rich history and heritage by visiting the Grand Mosque or learning about Bahrain’s pearl-diving history at the Bahrain Pearling Trail.

The destination is also very rich in heritage sites. It is home to some of the world’s most impressive historical sites, including the Bahrain Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage site, Al Khamis Mosque, one of the oldest mosques in the Gulf region, the Bahrain National Museum, and many more sites where students can indulge in history. Manama Souq, a bustling market in the heart of the capital city, is another must-visit destination where students can immerse themselves in the sights, sounds, and traditional cuisines of Bahraini life, says the BTEA.

But the destination has more than just cultural and heritage sites to offer students, it also has many adventure activities. Students can spend a day at Al Dar Islands, swimming, snorkelling, and kayaking in crystal-clear waters. The Lost Paradise of Dilmun Water Park is another popular destination, featuring an array of water slides and rides that are sure to get students’ adrenaline pumping.

They can also visit the marvel and mystery of Bahrain, which is the Tree of Life a lone tree that is located in the middle of the desert with no source of water and is a popular natural attraction. Students can also experience the thrill of go-karting at the Bahrain International Karting Circuit or free-fall from one of the tallest wind tunnel in the world at the indoor skydiving facility, Gravity.

Another activity for students to engage in during a trip to Bahrain is a visit to the Al Areen Wildlife Park and Reserve, which is a beautiful location where they can see Arabian oryx, gazelles, and other animals native to the region or visit Hawar island, says BTEA. For something a little unique and out of the box students can be taken to visit the Royal Camel Farm, which is home to hundreds of camels where they can feed the baby camels or even try camel milk. Horse riding at the Bahrain fort can be another activity that students will enjoy.

The statement adds that as Bahrain is home to several prestigious educational institutions, students can also explore these fine world-class institutions which will give them the opportunity to interact with the local students and faculty in the destination and explore opportunities for further education.

With its historical sites, adventure activities, cultural experiences, natural beauty, and safe and friendly environment, Bahrain is quickly emerging as a top destination for student excursion trips, says the authority.
