Gulf Air, the national carrier of Bahrain, has announced the launch of its newest destination in India, Goa. According to a press statement, the airline says that with effect from March 27, it operates four weekly flights, flying non-stop from Goa to Bahrain. The airline adds that GF285 will depart from Goa at 0440 on Sundays and Tuesdays, reaching Bahrain at 0610 the same day, while on Wednesdays and Fridays, the flight will depart from Goa at 2305, reaching Bahrain at 0035 the next day.
The new flight will offer excellent connectivity to several onward destinations in Middle East and Europe, like Dubai, Tel Aviv, Amman, London Heathrow, Istanbul, Paris and Milan.
The airline says that with this new service, Gulf Air aims to expand its reach in the Indian subcontinent and provide more travel options for its passengers. The flight will cater to leisure travellers and increase the tourist footprints in Bahrain.
Gulf Air Chief Executive Officer Captain Waleed Al Alawi welcomed guests at the launch of the inaugural flight. The event was also attended by Piyush Srivastava, the Ambassador of the Republic of India to the Kingdom of Bahrain, Bahrain Airport Company Chief Executive Officer Mohammed Al Binfalah and members of the airline’s executive management.
