To explore the immense growth potential in India, Australia and Worldwide Travel appoints Global Destinations as its India representative.

With an intent to set foot and leverage growth potential in India, Australia-based Destination management company Australia and Worldwide Travel has signed up Global Destinations to build sales and expand brand awareness in-market.

In a press statement, the company says that with years of experience and knowledge in inbound tourism, Australia and Worldwide Travel specialises in Australia & the South Pacific regions. It was formed in April 2022 under Leon Ellas and Ian D’Nazareth. 

The statement adds that Leon Ellas brings with him over 40 years of travel experience, extensive product and sales knowledge in the Inbound travel market and has worked with Qantas Holidays, Australia heading up their inbound division, and Qantas Holidays UK.

“India is a very important market for us. Australia has witnessed a strong growth of Indian arrivals in the last few years. To leverage this growth, we needed to have a strong representation in India. We felt that Global Destinations is the ideal partner to have in India because of their highly professional team, excellent track record and their undisputed knowledge of travel trade in India. We are delighted to appoint Global Destination as our representation company,” says Leon Ellas, Managing Partner Australia and Worldwide Travel.

With reputable travel agencies and airlines, like Emirates Airlines, Dubai, Ian D’Nazareth attests to having over 25 years of expertise travelling abroad. He has built up a sizable network of agents thanks to his outstanding working connections with travel agents both domestically and abroad, says the statement.

It adds that Sumaira Kabir, Country Manager India, based in Mumbai, heads up the operational team. With an in-depth knowledge of Australia, she has worked with Tourism Australia, India office.
