Consolidating its plans for global expansion while giving tour operators access to over 600,000 hotel properties and more than 400 airlines as well as other integrations, Amadeus Value Hotels has tied up with Akbar Travels.

Spain-headquartered Amadeus Value Hotels has announced partnership with Akbar Travels, an IATA approved Indian travel agency.

In a press statement Amadeus says that this partnership is meant to take forward the travel agency’s plans for global expansion while getting tour operators access to over 600,000 hotel properties, from independent operators to established chains.

According to the statement, in addition to signing on for Amadeus Value Hotels, Akbar Travels will be connected to the Amadeus Travel Platform with access to content from more than 400 airlines. This will give Akbar Travels’ customers in the Middle East, Africa and Europe greater flexibility in options and enriched content.

The statement says that Akbar Travels, the second largest travel consolidator in India, provides quick, easy and affordable bookings for flights, hotels, car rentals and tour destinations to both leisure and business travelers throughout Asia, the Middle East, Africa and Europe.

This collaboration will ease customer service for both, enhance efficiency so as to make property searches easier, more comparable and bookings seamless, says the firm. When the booking is ready, travel agents can send details on a customisable email with Akbar Travels branding, which can keep track of all its bookings and easily open and manage any incident requests on the Amadeus Service Hub.
