Tivoli Hotels & Resorts, a luxury hospitality brand that is part of Minor Hotels, has announced the opening of its latest property, Tivoli La Caleta Tenerife Resort, making a debut not just in the Canary Islands, but also in Spain.

According to a press statement, following extensive renovations, Tivoli La Caleta has opened its doors, welcoming guests with renovated guest rooms and suites, numerous dining concepts and a world-class spa, all with panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean.

The statement adds that located on southern Tenerife’s picturesque coast, nestled between the mountains and the Atlantic’s deep blue, Tivoli La Caleta, with 284 rooms including 20 suites, offers an idyllic hideaway, just 15 minutes’ drive from Tenerife South International Airport, with direct access to the 12 km coastline promenade connecting the village of La Caleta to the town of Los Cristianos.

The statement adds that the resort was designed by the award-winning architect Melvin Villarroel, whose work perfectly combines nature and architecture, bringing to Tenerife the earthy terracotta tones of exotic places, but also introducing its maze of organic detail, always infused with the deep green of nature from the 18,000 sqm of subtropical garden. The generous outside area also provides indulgent sunbathing spaces around the three newly refurbished swimming pools, all heated, the largest with salt water and one of which is adults-only.

Dining at Tivoli La Caleta is curated by Olivier da Costa, a well-known Portuguese chefpreneur currently with 26 restaurants open around the world in destinations from São Paulo to Lisbon and from Rome to Bangkok. The hotel will feature three distinctive restaurants: Seen Beach Club with its bold flavours, exotic cocktails, and vibrant seafront setting, Yakuza which specialises in sushi ranging from the most traditional to the most inventive and creative combinations, and Guilty, presenting an indulgent experience in a dynamic and cosmopolitan space, near the main pool.

The statement adds that guests can also enjoy the facilities of all four bars around the property. Alma Cocktail Bar, with an indoor and outdoor area, has a selection of the best Spanish wines and cocktails. At El Clásico Sports Bar there is always something happening, either live games or lively discussions on the latest matches, together with a menu of drinks and bites.

It says that in March, the property will also see the launch of Anantara Spa, with 1,200 sqm of outdoor and indoor facilities, with 10 treatment rooms, a vitality indoor pool, sauna, steam bath and an ice igloo to refresh and rejuvenate.

The hotel also comes with 890 sqm of flexible meeting spaces with ocean views, that can be used for VIP dinners, weddings, or product launches and large-scale conferences.

The hotel says that it has the perfect location to discover the historical and natural heritage of the Canary Islands. For those keen to explore beyond the resort, there is a wealth of cultural and natural discoveries, from experiencing the UNESCO World Heritage old town of La Laguna to embarking on outdoor island adventures, like whale watching or star gazing at the Teide mount.

It says that rates at Tivoli La Caleta Tenerife Resort start from EUR 390 for a Deluxe Garden View room including breakfast for two people.
