Radisson Hotel Group is to open Radisson Biratnagar in Biratnagar in Nepal, with 145 rooms, with opening slated for Q3, 2024. Biratnagar, the second largest city of Nepal, is an industrial hub and fastest growing city of the country.

The hotel is 10 minutes away from Biratnagar Airport and 15 minutes from the Indian border and Jogbani Railway Station in Bihar. The hotel offers close connectivity for guests travelling for business or leisure. Furthermore, rapid development in the city’s infrastructure such as roads, airports, community projects, and public amenities is set to position Biratnagar as an upcoming destination, says a press statement, adding that Radisson Biratnagar will also play an important role in welcoming local and international tourists to experience a new phase of hospitality in Nepal.

With strategic location and state-of-the-art facilities, Radisson Biratnagar is set to become the new landmark of the city, says the press release. “When Radisson Biratnagar will open, guests will be able to access comfortable and spacious rooms along with amenities including a swimming pool, fitness centre, spa, specialty restaurants, and a 10,000 sq ft (1000 sqm) of banquet area,” the statement says.

“As we continue our foray towards our ambitious five-year expansion plan for South Asia, we are delighted to sign this new property in Nepal. Being a tourist hub for travellers globally, Nepal is poised to emerge as a strong economic and investment hub for multiple sectors in the years to come. Our growth in the country will continue to be driven by strategic, brand-defining hotel signings and openings that will provide a major uplift to our portfolio and broaden our offerings for guests and owners. Radisson Biratnagar will be the perfect getaway for guests looking for an all-inclusive hospitality experience underpinned by Radisson Hotel Group’s “Yes! I can” service philosophy,” says Zubin Saxena, Managing Director and Vice President, Operations, South Asia, Radisson Hotel Group.

“I have always found Radisson to be one of the best in terms of taking care of the needs of guests while delivering delightful hospitality and we are thrilled to introduce this world-renowned brand to Biratnagar. I am happy to sign this agreement with Radisson Hotel Group and look forward to leveraging the brand’s strong recognition and the team’s deep expertise in the South Asian market to drive the success of the Radisson Biratnagar,” says Moti Lal Dugar, Chairman of Centurion Hotel.

The signing of Radisson Biratnagar is a continuation of strong expansion across the South Asia region of Radisson Hotel Group that plans on doubling its footprint in the region with 148 hotels and resorts by 2025.
