Radisson says it remains the fastest growing brand in the industry

Radisson Hotel Group has reported 'exceptional growth' in 2023, adding over 30,000 keys to its international portfolio of 10 leading brands through openings and signings.

Belgian luxury hospitality giant Radisson Hotel Group celebrated a new company record in 2023 with the addition of its largest number of keys to its portfolio, amounting to over 30,000 keys through openings and signings.

In a press statement, the group says it has grown its business by nearly 50 pc since the launch of its transformation plan in 2018. The group’s flagship Radisson Blu brand continued to be the largest upper upscale brand in Europe for the 12th consecutive year.

“We are grateful to our owners and colleagues who helped us achieve a strong 2023 with more than 250 signings and openings worldwide and over 30,000 keys added to our portfolio, our highest ever. We expect 2024 to be a continuation of 2023, with slower inflation and continued investor appetite in our sector. We will continue to innovate and respond to the ever-changing environment to create more opportunities for our owners and possibilities for our guests,” says Elie Younes, Executive Vice President and Global Chief Development Officer at Radisson Hotel Group.

Radisson says it remains the fastest growing brand in the industry. New additions were made with the signing of Radisson Blu Resort, Mani in Greece, Radisson Blu Resort, Kumbhalgarh in India, and Fridays Boracay, A Radisson Collection Resort in the Philippines, as well as additions in Fiji, Turkey, and Poland, where the Group is the largest resort operator. Looking ahead to 2024, resorts will continue to play an important role in the Group’s strategic growth plan.

The group says that Radisson Collection brand has built a strong global portfolio in 2023, announcing several market debuts with key signings and openings in India, Nigeria, Egypt and Lithuania, as well as additional properties in existing markets such as Belgium with the signing of Radisson Collection National Hotel, Brussels and opening of Radisson Collection Hotel, Santa Sofia Milan in Italy.

The statement adds that the group also debuted in Germany’s Berlin, Paris and Thailand and expanded to various new locations in India. The group also accelerated its global growth of the premium lifestyle art’otel brand in 2023 in partnership with PPHE. It launched art’otel properties in London and Zagreb and has two upcoming openings in Rome and London Hoxton.
