Situated at south-eastern edge of Mexico, about 1600 km from capital Mexico City, is a house made to look like a seashell. Locally known as Casa Caracol, there is a local myth saying that this house size seashell washed ashore with enough conch meat to feed the entire island. The true story is that the original shell, which contains a living room, kitchen and bath, was constructed by Mexican architect Eduardo Ocampo who still lives next door with his wife.
