As the month of July approaches, the Czech Republic is set to host some of the most exciting festivals and music concerts, studded with big names from the industry.

Here is a list of festivals and events that Czechia, as the country is called, has in store for its visitors.

Love On Tour, Steve Aoki & End of the Road

International pop artist Harry Styles has announced his rescheduled dates for his world tour: Love On Tour. The artist will perform at the O2 arena in Prague on July 15 with a special guest appearance by Wolf Alice, an English alternative rock band from London, comprising of singer Ellie Rowsell, guitarist Joff Oddie, bassist Theo Ellis and drummer Joel Amey.

July 29 is all set for American DJ Steve Aoki’s performance at Duplex, a rooftop venue overlooking Wenceslas Square, which is one of the most famous clubs in Prague.

Kiss, an American rock band that has been performing way back since its debut in 1973, has announced that after a long epic 45 years of their career they will be launching their final tour ever, appropriately named End of the Road and will be performing in the O2 arena on July 13. Slipknot, another American heavy metal band, will also be performing on July 28 at the O2 arena.

The annual multi genre music festival, Colours of Ostrava is finally set to take place again this year after having been suspended for two years. Scheduled to take place from July 13 to 16, it will be held in the Lower Vítkovice area in Ostrava, about 370 km east of Prague.

This festival has it all, an incredible festival site, a good lineup, and the friendliest audience. The programme of this festival with several stages consistently offers more than 350 shows. In addition to concerts by American singer-songwriter LP and American rock band The Killers, visitors will witness over 120 bands and also be able to participate in the Meltingpot, an international discussion forum.

The Colours of Ostrava was included among the 10 best and largest festivals in the prestigious European Festival Awards survey.

International Film Festival in Karlovy Vary

56th edition of Karlovy Vary Film Festival is set to take place from July 2 to 9

Considered to be the most prestigious film festival in Central Europe, the Karlovy Vary Film Festival in its 56th edition is set to take place from July 2 to 9 in Karlovy Vary, about 125 km west of Prague. The festival has annually presented premieres of more than 200 new films from around the world, of which the best is traditionally awarded the main prize, the Crystal Globe.

Filmmakers from all over the world come to present their films in various categories. The Karlovy Vary festival is intended for both film professionals and the general public and offers visitors a carefully designed programme, excellent facilities and a broad range of other services.

Celebrities like Johnny Depp, Ethan Hawke, Robert Pattinson, Mel Gibson, Tim Robbins and many more have attended this prestigious festival.
