The board adds that about 500 guests including Indian authorities, Indian friends, Turkish citizens as well as Ambassadors and diplomats attended the occasion. This gathering celebrated the richness of Türkiye’s cultural heritage with Turkish classical music performances by Turkish musicians visiting India for the Republic’s 100th year reception. Some of the signature dishes from delectable Turkish cuisine served to the guests were kebap and döner, Turkish olive oil mezzes, Turkish ice cream and baklava cooked and prepared by Turkish chefs travelling from Türkiye.

The board says that adding to the celebratory fervour of the evening, lucky draws which included flight tickets and vacation vouchers in popular tourist places in Türkiye were also organised on the occasion.

Accompanied by his spouse Yonca Sunel, the Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye Firat Sunel personally greeted all the guests in attendance at this reception.

“As we celebrated our 100th National Day, it was an honour to host esteemed diplomats from India, Türkiye, and other friend nations of Türkiye. The massive turnout at this event not only represents Türkiye’s resounding success as a nation but also its growing popularity amongst Indians and our countries that joined us in this memorable celebration. The success of this event also yet again showcased the exemplary bond that India and Türkiye enjoy with each other,” said Sunel.
