In order to strengthen its travel trade relationship with India and promote its new and diverse tourist attractions, the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), Mumbai, had recently organised the ‘ATTA Amazing Thailand Roadshow’ in Mumbai.
In a press statement, TAT, the apex tourism body of Thailand, says that the event brought together over 160 Indian travel agents to exchange critical information with 22 Thai travel agents from ATTA, comprising attraction owners, destination management organisations, and an airline, opening avenues for profitable partnership.
The board says that to draw more tourists from India, TAT Mumbai aims to promote novel attractions, hidden charms and offbeat destinations scattered across Thailand, as well as promote its 5F soft-power foundations of food, film, festival, fight and fashion.
TAT says that the roadshow was launched in the presence of Sisdivachr Cheewarattanaporn, the President of the Association of Thai Travel Agents (ATTA), Donnawit Poolsawat, Consul-General of the Royal Thai Consulate-General in Mumbai and Isada Saovaros, Director of the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), Mumbai.
“The ATTA Amazing Thailand Roadshow showcased Thailand’s ever-growing grandeur in the tourism landscape and set up a platform for informed discussions and strengthening trade relationships. The invaluable support of the Association of Thailand Travel Agents (ATTA) and the remarkable cooperation of our Indian travel trade partners through the Roadshow will greatly contribute towards our strategic goal of expanding Thailand’s tourism appeal in India,” says Isada Saovaros, Director of the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), Mumbai.
The statement adds that the “ATTA Amazing Thailand Roadshow 2023” proved to be an instrumental part of Thailand’s long-term tourism vision by offering a dynamic platform for nurturing travel trade relationships and destination promotion.
