Turkish Airlines has rebranded its low-cost subsidiary as AJET which will fly to 93 destinations, seeking to emerge as a major low-cost airline at a global level.

AnadoluJet, established as a sub-brand of Turkish Airlines in 2008, has been rebranded as ‘AJET’ and ticket sales under the new name have begun from March 12 through its website.

In a press statement, Turkish Airlines says that AJET will operate flights to a total of 93 destinations, including 41 domestic and 52 international, with its fleet of 95 aircraft during the summer season of 2024.

The flag carrier of Turkiye adds that it has big ambitions for its low-cost airline and it plans to expand its network to a total of 44 countries and its fleet size will grow to 200 aircraft within the next 10 years.

The statement adds that the former AnadoluJet was established to meet the air transportation needs with more advantageous options and it has reunited over 150 million guests with their loved ones in the past 16 years.

The statement adds that AJET will take flight on March 31 to offer a more modern, comfortable and accessible experience for its guests while planning to be a prominent low-cost airline of a global scale and further strengthen its competitive position in the market.
