SriLankan Airlines, the nation’s flag carrier and a member of the Oneworld global airline alliance, recently hosted the 2024 Oneworld Business Resilience and Safety Best Practice Group meeting in its capital Colombo. 

According to a press statement by the airline, members of the alliance convene biannually in the home base of a chosen member airline and, this time, Sri Lanka was the host country.

The airline says that attendees from 11 member airlines made the meeting a forum for sharing knowledge and talking about cutting-edge approaches to aviation resilience and safety. 

The statement adds that amidst the productive sessions, delegates also explored and discovered the vibrant sights of Colombo during their visit. With its lively marketplaces and tranquil temples, Colombo served as an ideal backdrop for both business and pleasure, creating a blend of productive engagement with ample cultural exploration.
