Kuwait’s low-cost carrier, Jazeera Airways, has launched ‘Jazeera Savers’, a new membership club for regular flyers. In a press statement, the airline says that with ‘Jazeera Savers’ it has become the first Middle East based carrier to roll out such a membership programme for its passengers.

The airline says that with the programme, the more its members fly with Jazeera Airways, the more they can save, besides accessing a range of discounts and benefits provided to members.

The airline says that members will be entitled to numerous benefits like a 10 pc discount on the base fare of tickets, a free preferred seat selection, free early check-in and baggage drop, an exclusive check-in desk in Kuwait as well as 50 pc discount on rates for 10 kg extra baggage and 20 pc discount on food and beverages booked online before the flight.

The airline adds that the membership is offered in four categories, ranging from Single for solo travellers to Family Plus for up to eight people in a family group.

The airline says that the Family Plus category especially caters to extended families and domestic workers travelling together. Families travelling together will save the most with ‘Jazeera Savers’, it says.

The airline adds that the annual membership rates are KWD 35 for Single memberships, KWD 55 for Duo memberships, KWD 99 for a family of 5 and KWD 129 for a family of up to 8. These are special introductory rates.

It adds that by signing up for a membership, passengers will benefit from significant cost savings on each trip. For example, a couple travelling to Dubai in December during the peak holiday season, would normally pay around KWD 256 for return tickets, preferred seat selection, early check-in, 10 kg excess baggage and a pre-ordered meal from J Café. With a Duo membership the couple would only pay KWD 164, resulting in a cost saving of almost 36 pc in just one trip. Similarly, a family of five travelling twice a year could save over KWD 350 a year.

All passengers regularly flying on Jazeera Airways can benefit from these cost savings and services by signing up for Jazeera Savers. Enrollment for the progamme is only available online through the airline’s website.
