'A big step forward in its international expansion plan', says IndiGo

India’s biggest airline IndiGo adds Africa to its footprint with the launch of flights from Mumbai to Kenyan capital Nairobi in August.

Indian largest airline, low-cost carrier IndiGo has named Nairobi, the capital of Kenya, as its new destination in the 6E network, marking the 27th international and 105th in overall.

In a press statement, the airline says that it has opened bookings for daily, non-stop flights from Mumbai to Nairobi from August 5, offering travellers from India to reach one of the key hubs in East Africa.

With this new route, IndiGo officially enters the African continent, adding numerous advantages to both business and leisure travellers. IndiGo adds that this represents a big step forward in its international expansion plan and fosters economic growth as it enhances the commercial, travel, and strategic relations between the two nations.
