In a series of changes, the national carrier of the UAE, Etihad Airways is all set to launch a global sale with exclusive offers to many destinations. In a press statement the airline says that for travel between May 1 and June 15, guests can reserve flights at special sale prices to select few Etihad destinations until March 31. The airline has also declared new flights between Abu Dhabi and Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Airport, in Kolkata with a total of seven weekly nonstop services.
The press statement adds the Kolkata flights will be operated with an Airbus A320 aircraft, offering eight seats in business class and 150 in economy. For the summer sale packages, travellers can choose to explore Abu Dhabi en route to their final destination with the relaunch of Etihad Stopovers. A discounted rate of 40 pc at one of Abu Dhabi’s premium four star and five star hotels will be available for guests. They can also access a one or two-nights complimentary stay in a three or four-star participating hotel. The airline added that Etihad passengers flying from Kolkata to the United States can benefit from the US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) facility in Abu Dhabi International Airport, the only US immigration preclearance service in the region that allows passengers to clear US immigration while they are still in Abu Dhabi.
