In 2023, as against a target of 3 million tourists, Sarawak, a Malaysian province renowned for its biodiversity, received 3.9 million visitors, Sharzede Datu Salleh Askor, CEO, Sarawak Tourism Board tells India Outbound. She adds that India has boomed as a market especially due to free visa regime. She says that she is looking to double the growth in number of Indian tourists in 2024.
