Recovery of tourism to the Niagara Falls in the United States was initially led by domestic market, but with international travel coming back strongly, the destination is now looking at key markets like India, says John Percy, President & CEO, Destination Niagara USA. Percy adds that he is looking to hire a representative in India in order to keep constant engagement with the Indian travel trade and media. Sara Harvey, Director of Communications, says that the destination had surpassed tourism spending levels of 2019 in 2021 itself & that the growth continued to accelerate in 2022 also.
